Happy birthday to me!!!
Its 26th Dzulhijjah which means...Im 15!!!
Ok...so its not all fun and games. In fact, there weren't any. That's the downside of being an only child. So what do I do now that Im 15? ... Pretty much nothing.
Im still doing the same things. I go to the same place everyday. Sigh...so not many people know. Its only my parents and Aziz. Hehe...yeah, I can say he's a very close friend.
"Note to self: Need to grow up..."
The other day, during the orientation at the new Irsyad building, Ziyan commented that I still had the face of a kid. Do I??? Its...nice to hear that I still have a kid's face...
Ok then, I guess that concludes this entry...
Happy Birthday to me!!!

Owls of the night?
I am temporarily bored right now. No dreams in this entry. I didnt sleep. So it was around 3am when I went online on my computer. I intended to play Rome: Total War. So, I signed into my Messenger and checked my Multiply to warm my computer up. Coincidentally, Shazaa was online and we chatted for awhile. In fact, Im chating right now. Kinda cool that we're the only ones in our home awake. Or maybe its just me, I dunno. Mind you, its been days since we last chatted. And its great to talk to her... =)
Anyway, I didnt do much during the day. I was too tired that I collapsed on my bed. Next thing I knew, it was 3pm. So, I did my prayers and went on with my day. Eat, pray, watch TV, surf the net and so. So, that's it...!!!

Urban Ninja
Ok...this next dream is really really cool. I was in a city like Metropolis. It was night time. I looked down at myself and I was wearing a black ninja suit.
Suddenly, 11 dark shadow beings emerged from the ground. They brandished out guns. But even the sight of them made me scared. I ran and ran but unfortunately, I backed into a dead end. I thought hard that they would go away. Instead, a hole opened in the wall and I ran through it. Yet again, I found myself between those beings and the sea. Ok, it wasnt exactly the sea. There was a guard rail and a 100m below was the sea. I didnt know what to do so I jumped. Miraculously, I survived. But 1 of the shadow beings emerged from the sea and tried to catch me. It did but I wriggled so much that I caught free. I swam so hard that my feet felt like they were going to burst. I reached the shore and ran as fast as I could. Next thing I knew, I was on top of a skyscraper. There, a girl who wore the same suit smiled at me. Somehow, I knew she was on my side.
But the shadow beings werent one to give up. They caught up with us. I looked down from the building and it was 2 times taller than the Petronas Tower. Instinctively, I jumped. I turned my body and held the side of the building with my hands. I could slow down my descent. The girl was also beside me. When we were down, we suddenly found ourselves on another skyscraper. Huh, where is this dream taking me?
I vaulted over the rail and jumped again. This time, the sea comforted our fall. We swam to an old sewer like building on the shore. The shadow beings were yards away from us. The girl and I transformed into eels and went into deep water. Funny, huh? 1 of the shadow beings dived into the water. The girl and I constricted the shadow being. It was, at that moment, solid. It died instantly. So we then swam further and further away. At the shore, we turned into our normal selves. She kinda edged nearer to me. She rested her head on my shoulders and looked onto the moonlight. The shadow beings were gone. For now...

A Vision?
Dreams, dreams, dreams. They're a wonder, aren't they? And Im not talking about bad dreams, like nightmares but good ones. Anyhow, during the night, I took a short nap. And I dreamt again. Well...I dreamt that I was in Paris and there was like this summer vacation thing. There were 30 Irsyadians, including me, along with 5 teachers. Well, everyone was sitting down and enjoying the view. I was walking along the streets, writing on a book, like a journal of some sort. But, as I was walking, I bumped into a girl. She was about my age.
I mumbled a 'sorry' and she returned with the most gorgeous smile ever. Her eyes sparkled and her hair flowed in the wind. I helped her pick up her books, which she had accidentally dropped when bumping into me. She thanked and in moments, we had started a conversation. She introduced herself as Elizabeth. So...we had a lovely time walking and talking. But, the day soon came to an end and we parted.
On my last day in Paris, I was sitting on a bench. I had woken up early so I had time to sit down and enjoy the view while I waited for the others to pack. While I was sitting down with my notebook, Elizabeth appeared and sat down beside. We had a chat and exchanged addresses so we could send letters to each other. Then, a girl appeared in front of me. I couldn't see her face much. It seems that only Elizabeth's face was clear. Anyway, she told me that we were leaving for the airport in 10 minutes.
So, Elizabeth and I said our farewells. But, just as I was about to grab my bag, Elizabeth kissed me. I felt...somehow different. A kind of sensation I had never felt before. She smiled at me.
"That's so you don't forget me...", she said.
Then, I left. I saw light. Seriously bright light. It turned out to be my room's light. It was turned on. Must've took a short nap. But a very interesting one...

Manipulating Dreams
So far...I've had a lot of dreams. As the holidays near, I think that I will undoubtedly be having more dream. Last night, I had a very funny dream.
There I was, standing outside of a dark, abandoned mansion. Beside me was Sam, from the show Reaper. Ok...not his again, I thought. Then, I thought of being the Devil's bounty hunter like Sam. Suddenly, I changed form. I wore a black vest. I had pointed ears. Sharp teeth. Long claws. Ruby red eyes...and I could fly!!!
Suddenly, three bikers passed by and started to pick on Sam. I did what I could and ripped one of the biker's arm apart. The second biker threw a grenade. As quickly as I could, I grabbed the grenade and hurled it back to the biker...then, everything went white.
I found myself sitting in a room. I was in Monica's room. There was a sleep-over. Ross was beside me. Joey sat beside Ross. Phoebe sat beside Joey and on her left was Rachel. On top was Monica and Chandler. They were looking down on us. Suddenly, the dream ended.
I woke and later found out I could make my own dreams. As soon as I think of something, the dream turns into my thoughts. Its pretty neat. I kinda like it. But currently, I've only slept at 1 in the morning and wake up at 12. Sheesh, I really need to wind up my brain timer. Its getting worked up...

A Nightmare
Do you watch the TV series, Heroes? Well...I had a dream. Well, more of a nightmare.
I was in a room with Peter Petrelli. He was in those hospital kinda clothes. Suddenly, Sylar entered the room. He held up his finger. I thought, he was going to kill me. Instinctively, I grabbed a scissors and jammed it in his chest. Again and again, I swiped him and stabbed him. He himself took a scissors but I cut off his arm with my scissors. I cut him again and again until he was only chunks of flesh. I took a breather. Peter was still sitting. Then I remembered, hadn't Sylar taken Claire's blood? He could regenerate!!!
I picked up a huge piece of wire mesh and started stabbing at the now, healing Sylar. I shouted at Peter to teleport us. After holding off Sylar from regenerating, I held Peter's arm and I was teleported...that was when I woke up.

A Reminder
Holding a sword, I found myself in front of a fearsome beast. It was scary in every manner. Menacing eyes. Gargantuan body. Sharp rows of teeth. Never in my life had I seen it. It was undoubtedly holding my friend, perhaps thinking of eating him. Instantaneously, I plunged my sword in its body. It looked at me and I felt a cold tingle running up my spine. It grabbed my sword and slashed me over and over again. I could feel the very sting of the metal grinding my skin, skewering deeper and deeper into my body. I ran with my friend whom I found out was Aziz!!! I was walking down our school stairs with him with the sword in my hand. The wounds I had suffered from where still there. We met up with another being who was actually Shazaa. She went on raving if I was ok. I strained a smile. Suddenly, the monster caught up with me again and it drove its own sword through me. I dropped dead, blood oozing...
I woke up bathed in sweat. What a nightmare it was!!! Being stabbed...what a scary thought. I got dressed, looked into the mirror and looked if the wounds were there. As expected there was nothing there except when I touched it, it ached. Perhaps an unnatural being disturbed me during the night. Who knows... this serves as a reminder to all. Read your prayers before you sleep!!!

My Climactic Day
Im a cheerful guy, to be truthful. Really... And to tell you the truth, I started the day greatly. Before the arabic Insya' exam, I smiled and danced around. I did ok on the exam. During tafsir, I kinda liked the groupwork and afterwards, arabic was fine. Malay was ok. Bit sad when Cikgu Iskandar didn't teach. When he teaches, its very fun. So I started having a very pessimistic talk with Hafiz and Luqman. I let out everything that bugs me and they kinda like...heard me out. I followed them during lunch and when they were eating, I talked some more. It felt to let go of stuff...
Tauhid was kinda tense. There were some students sneaking out of class. Great... just what Irsyad needs. Troublemakers... Qiraah must have been really great cause it passed by so quickly...as is the saying "Time flies when you're having fun".
Finally, during House-CCA-session, Mr Hisham gave us a talk, along with another talk by two other teachers. I kinda understood...and reflected a bit. Went home with Khair and at home, studied and Hadith and afterwards, played Rome: Total War
Wassalam...

Fantastic Friday
A lot of emotions swirled around me on this day. Happy, sad...and some other too. On this day, Irsyad celebrates Children's Day and Hari Raya and also giving the Secondary 5's (Year 2008) a send-off as Friday is their last day as Irsyadians. Lotsa stuff happened...
There was a show brought by the Secondary 2's...=) It was pretty funny. And with hosts like Rifqi, Nur and Sofiah, you know things are gonna be great. Then, there was a singing performance by the Secondary 5's. Also, Ustazah Muayanah and Cikgu Rumini poeted infront about Children's Day and Hari Raya. To top it all off, the male teachers gave a spectacular performance, blowing the students away with their singing and joking. There was like some kind of bond that held them together. It was so cool.
Afterwards, we had recess. Thats where I met up with the Sec 5's and took their pictures. Later, I found myself with around 10 cameras from the Secondary 5's. The posed and I took their pictures. Then, I got a lot of pictures of me with Sec 5's. It was a bit sad...
Wonder what it'll be like when Im a Secondary 5?

Wednesday Whopper
What happened today? I asked myself.
I seem to have forgotten. Perhaps I'll start from the start and make my way up.
During tilawah, Ustd Idgham wanted us to listen to an Al-Hafiz read the Quran...through a CD player. I got to operate it cause I sat just beside it...=)
Then came hadith. I finally managed to hafal with Ustzh Muayanah the 7th hadith. Usually, when I finished memorising, the lesson was finished. But I was ready today so, lucky me!! Tafsir was ok...we did not group work but a "class work". In class, all the boys joined their tables together and the girls did the same with theirs. We reasoned to the teachers that we were "being one big family". Hehe...=)
Lughah was great. And later, malay was really fun. We did a mindmap concerning the teachers and their physical features and their behaviour. Lotsa funny comments. Tauhid seemed to just fly and qiraah was a blurr. During CCA, Mdm Baizah announced the final house points. Fire was 4th, Earth 3rd, Water 2nd and Wind 1st. The atmosphere was rowdy and noisy. After the talk, Mr Muneer gave us a lecture cause we didn't pay much attention. Sigh...
Went home with Aziz and at home, played ROME: TOTAL WAR!!!

Monday Mania
I felt empty. Where had the week gone? School? So quickly were the days passing by. And the exams...pheww, Im soooo nervous about it.
During tilawah, I had to read first and I got a lot wrong...cause of my tajwid. Sigh...I'll learn from my mistakes. Science and English was a blurr. During arabic lesson, we had an empty 1 hour as Ustd Mustaqim was absent. The Nahu re-test was ok. I hope I do it justice. Afterwards, in Geography class, Ms Amnah saw that everyone was tired so she let everyone have a short nap. It was kinda cool. Qiraah was...I dunno, supposably ambiguous???
Went home with Aziz and am now trying to study but I just cant seem to muster the energy. Sigh...

1st Week of Raya
Hari Raya is great. The whole week, I spent my day with my parents. On days that we went out, we went out from morning till night. It was tiresome. I much rather preferred to stay at home. I find that lots of my family members come to our house. Its like a convergence point. Anyway, I dont have much to say. Although its been hectic and lotsa stories within this week, I see it too tiresome to write down sooooo...thats it!!!

29th Ramadhan 08'
Monday is a day when the week starts over again. Sleepy and lazy are words used to describe this day. Perhaps even dragging...But perhaps this is the surprise in life. Any moment in life is full of surprises. In the early hours of morning, Rifqi, Umar, Ziyan and I sweeped the class clean. Afterwards, Ziyan and Umar found a bottle of lotion and started squirting it. It hit Ali Imran and Aisyah Said and they chased Ziyan. I kinda found it amusing.
Throughout the day, there was like a sleepy trance...evened out by the noise of the construction of the new ACS school. Sheesh...talk about "disrupting" a class. Studied sound in science, formal writing in english class, nothing in arabic and nahu class...which was cool. Me and Fadil, along with Asyraf were playing with the plaster scene (Is that how its spelled?), using our hands as catapults and throwing them into the area of the girls. It was amazing. I got hit in the ear by Zahirah and Zuhailah and also just below the eye by Aisyah Said. The three of us fought back and it was not before long we decided for a ceasefire. Kinda makes up for doing nothing or sleeping.
After Zohor, I passed by Shazaa and her friend and she well...just said my name. "DOLLAH..." she said. Normally, when people call me by that name, I'd be a bit pissed off but when Shazaa says it, I feel so...so...relieved. And Shazaa, if you're reading this, don't overreact. Anyway, during geography, Ms Amnah used it to comment on our formal letters individually. I kinda did ok...only that my writing was small and I didn't elaborate part of the problem. During Qiraah, I did well reading. It was better than I...yes, expected.
So you see...life has its ups and downs. What you dread, you will probably like. What you anticipate eagerly for, can also sometimes be a nightmare...so live life, on the good side!!

26th Ramadhan 08'
Friday...was SO AWESOME!!!
Normal schooling hours seemed like a flutter. I got 5th highest in my english test 3 and 4 results. Just scratched an A1. We didnt get to go through our maths papers. I just hoped I did it justice. Anyway, the Mass Iftar roused a lot of commotion. Aziz, Haziq, Asyraf and I couldn't get to go to Luqman Nur's house. Got cancelled in the last minute. So me and Aziz stayed back at school and took a bundle of pictures. I had to go to Shell, accompanied by Muhammad and Aziz, to replenish my stock of batteries. When we got back to school, we took as much pictures as we could find. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted all my pictures. I pressed 'delete' twice and well...you understand...
Tried to take more pictures. I helped unpack the porridge and stuff. Then, Mr Izzad asked Aziz, Muhammad and I to cut the pamphelets...or so what I think they are. Did my Asar prayers alone and then tried to take more pictures. Helped to carry the tables. It was pretty heavy. Haziq and I, along with Aziz attempted to carry 3 tables at once. We found that it was back-breaking work...literally.
Then, helped dry the banner and hang it before taking the mike stand and sejadah for Ustd Azhari. Before that, we layed out the canvas's for praying later. Helped "hold the paper" to the projector screen and then took pictures with Mr Izzad's camera. Cause there were 2 cameras, I was lent the other one. Ruzaini was begging for the camera. Sigh...good things never stay, do they? Luqman Nur took the camera which was then later found in Ruzaini's hands. I broke my fast drinking Ice Lemon Tea (Just Lemon Tea)...and did our Maghrib prayers. I saw Shazaa in a cute blue dress and what I thought to be 3 Imams were actually Faiz, Iqbal and Bukhari...=) Aisyah Said looked like a travel agent and dare I mention it? Lotsa BLACK baju kurungs...=)
After performing the Isha' prayers, we did our Terawih, led by Al-Hafiz Ustaz Alaina Baderuddin. It was intense. What was to come was pretty touching. The Munajat session. Sadly, Aziz was being fetched by his father so he had to go. During the Munajat, Ustd Idgham was crying for forgiveness. And so should we...I recalled all my deeds and reflected.
When it was time to go, Haziq wanted to go with Ruzaini and gang. Muhammad and the others also didnt want to go home at the time. So, I went home alone. It felt great...to have some alone time in the stillness of night. Arrived home at around 11.15pm. Cracked open an instant noodle and digged in. Then, I lied on my new bed and instantly fell asleep...

25th Ramadhan 08'
Wow...today was...pretty eventful, I guess.
In the morning, we found a beheaded dead rat in Secondary 2 Iman. Ziyan sweeped it into the dustpan and threw in the bin. Nur was like...telling it to everyone who would listen to her. It was a really overwhelming morning. I did ok in my maths and malay tests. Managed to be the 3rd to hafal with Ustd Salehin. I was so glad when Ustd said that the Quran oral was on surah al-muzammil and al-muddathir. Im pretty good on both those surah's. I was in a very lazy mood. Weird, huh? I seem to get lazy as the exams get closer. Dont worry, I'll buck up...cause fortune favors the bold. And I can consider myself bold...*wink wink
Anyway, Ramadhan is almost at an end. It seems quick, doesnt it? Must be because of Judgement Day. It is said that the one of the signs of Judgement Day is that time speeds up. Im seeing things more clearly now. Must be a sign...... But why me? Im feeling pretty intimidated... I feel like Im gonna die any moment. Like every second I have a chance and yet I every I make is against my pure instinct. Impulsive, wouldnt you say?
Anyway, tomorrow is the Iftar. I've finally decided to go, owing to the encouragement by Aziz. Me and him are gonna go to Luqman Nur's house and play his XBOX360 before changing and going back to school. Im trying to take as many pictures as I can. Cause its the last year we have Iftar at Irsyad-Newton. So, wish me luck...=)

23rd Ramadhan 08'
Tuesday. A day that certainly wasn't up to expectations. Personally, it was pretty dull. Though there were some moments that spurred some enthusiasm.
During maths, we reviewed on mensuration and statistics. Afterwards, during malay class, I spent the lesson making a stapler bullet bracelet. It was pretty bad. I got scratched a few times though. Then, I spent the recess studying for my arabic test. Science class was ok. Until the construction of the school outside was making a lot of noise. It was deafening. Then came Fiqh class and there was Luqman Hakim, sleeping in class. It was so annoying. It was always Fiqh class. Fortunately, Ustzh Rabiah saw him and told him to wake and well...the rest was absolutely insteresting. Though, no elaboration on that part. Nahu and Hadith passed by without noticing.
After lunch period, it was the arabic test. It was ok. And afterwards, there was the english test. It was quite easy. Though, I dont think I did excellently on the summary. Normally, I do good with summaries but I felt that my spark wasn't there. Perhaps 70% was in my spirit. Then, when it was time to go home, I was accompanied by Haziq, Luqman Nur and Fierdaos. At the Newton MRT station, we saw a lot of people. Abdur Rahman, Aisyah Said, Aishah-Tul, Ruzaini, Shazaa and many more.
We took the train to Marina cause we decided to bounce. So...conclusion, I lead a normal life...=)

20th Ramadhan 08'
Last night was awesome...and also an experince for me. Living in a two-storey house alone in the middle of the night can be unnerving.
Anyway, today, I was all alone. Woke up, after sahur and subuh, at 11am. Wow...kinda tells you I was really tired. I spent my day continuing my campaign on Rome: Total War. I managed to take and capture 2 Wonders. The Mauesoleum of Halicarnassus and the Golden Statue of Zeus. Im currently trying to conquer Greece before the Brutii manage to take control of any of Greece's provinces. Im the Julii...=) My strategy is to take the surrounding provinces of the Brutii. It'll stop their advance and expansion. The Scipii certainly dont pose too much of a threat. The Pontus and Britannians seriously need some time out. They've been attacking my border's villages...sigh.
Managed to watch the whole week's re-telecast of Friends. After that, there were no interesting programmes. Its been like that for the past few days. So when I wasn't playing RTW, I surfed the net and while reading through Shazaa's blogs, I found a sentence...
"THANKS TO DOLLAH FOR BARING IN WITH ME"
Makes me glad that Im touching people's lives...and sorry to Aziz for the rubik's mayhem...=)

19th Ramadhan 08'
Boy...today was the best day of the week.
During the morning, instead of the Al-Quran, Ustd Azhari gave us a talk on the recent absentees and "escapes". It was kinda serious, if you didnt count Ustd Azhari's jokes...hehe. Anyway, English class was ok...a lot of people were sleepy. Probably cause of the Ramadhan season... Tired and aching bodies, as the people say. During recess, many secondary students were volunteering for giving out the flyers. I wasnt one bit interested so me and Abdul Rahman went to the dewan and read the Quran.
Fiqh was fine... since it was just one lesson, I was able to concentrate. Then, this is where the best part of the day happened. After listening to Mdm Alwiah talking about statistics, the flyers volunteers raised their hands to pardon their dismissal. Unfortunately, Mdm Alwiah didnt know of this matter and asked Ustd Ruzi. And even Ustd Ruzi was uninformed of this event. Finally, Mdm Alwiah had to contact Ustd Mustaqim and he confirmed the names of the volunteers.
When they had left, practically half of the class was left, doing their worksheet. I helped Faiz and he helped me. And also Fadil joined in to sneek in a couple of answers. Then, I asked Hafizuddeen and he was busy talking to Aisyah Said. Fine...I can do it by myself. No one ever asks me...
So I went back to my seat and the guys and some girls tried to make me feel better... There and then, I felt that we were really one big family. I was the first to hand in my paper... surprisingly, Mdm Alwiah helped me with some of the questions since no one could help me. They were busy with themselves. I ended up helping Aisyah Said, Hafizuddeen and Taufiq, along with Faiz and Fadil again.
After school, I just went home alone. Said goodbye to Hafiz, Taufiq, Aisyah and Rifqi. Well...just to know that I've got friends thinking of me...=)
Haziq still owes me the Rubik's manual... Im now at home, alone. Its 9.47pm. My parents are out in Geylang. I think they'll be back at around 12. So...until then, Im just minding my time...

18th Ramadhan 08'
Well, the excitement is buzzing everywhere... what is? Hari Raya, of course!!
At school, many of my classmates were sending raya songs to each other. Some talked about the raya suits. Others just wanted the fasting to end...but why?
This is the month where blessings are multiplied hundredfolds. Sigh...I for one am going to be missing this month. Allah s.w.t has given us a month to reflect and think of Him. Sigh...
Anyway, its not going good for me. I lost my cool today when Fadil threw at me rubbish. Another moment was when Zulfaqar disturbed my Dhuha prayers...=(
In school, Im trying to avoid dozing off in class. And I did...during maths class.
Out of the topic, lately, I've been seeing students playing with the Rubik's cube. Yeah...I see my friends (secondary) playing with it but now, even the primary students were solving it. I usually saw it in sec 2 boy's hands but even the girls are trying to learn. The sec 3's too!! Good, I know its good that people are opening their minds (finally...) but sheesh, do they have to bring it around everywhere???
I thought of trying to learn from them, you know, but some of them (not Aziz or Haziq)...the nerve is just so tantalizing that I could just hit them. When they have knowledge, they tend to show off. I do too but some just keep attracting crowds that when Im walking with a friend, the next minute I find myself walking alone...
So you see, even in this holy month, you just see something to be mad or sick about...

16th Ramadhan 08'
So...the fasting goes on. Where do I start?
I started the day having an early bath. It felt great that I was ready and free to do other stuff. I turned my PC on and checked my multiply.
At school, work was limited and this gave me more time to wander off. Today, I slept a lot. And this just wasnt me. During science, we studied sound and frequencies. It was interesting. During nahu, Ustd Azhari let us do anything. Thats where I took the opportunity to rest. When english language lesson came, I expected a tense attitude by Ms Amnah. Fortunately, she had gotten better. The day was brief. However, I forgot to bring back my Al-Quran...sigh...
When I arrived home, I bathed and afterwards, turned on my PC. Now, Im chatting with Shazaa. Its been a long time since I last had a talk with her...sigh
Well, today is brief so my entry is also short...
Until next time...

15th Ramadhan 08'
Half of this holy month has gone. I have yet fulfilled my duties as a servant of Allah s.w.t. Everyday seems full of surprises. Good and bad stuff can happen in a day. For example, today was a pretty ambiguous.
In the morning, the day started of fairly well. But during tilawah session, thats when good news gave me a ring. Ustd Salehin called out a number of people. They were going to be allocated to the Mahirun group. I was congragulating my tilawah buddy, Ziyan Emir when surprisingly, Ustd Salehin also mentioned my name!!! I was so ecstatic... The day went on...
Not much happened. But the day seemed very good. Unfortunately, thats when the cloud of despair gloomed. Just before geography class, some girls were playing with talcum powder, spraying it on each other. Soon, other girls joined it. Even the boys played with the talcum among themselves. One boy, whom I prefer not to reveal his name, took some talcum...a hand full. Another boy, also whom I prefer not to reveal his name, asked for the talcum and the first boy smacked it in his cheeks. Suddenly, Miss Amnah stepped inside the class and at the sight of all the talcum, she gave us a lengthy yet unforgettable lecture. It went on for the whole two periods of geography lesson. When she left the class, everyone was tense. Well, the rest of the day just seemed normal. So here, I end with... Assalamualaikum wr. wb.....

Teachers Day Celebrations
Teachers day. A moment in time where we repay our teachers for their deeds. Through hardship and pain, and irritating bane...them teachers manage to inculcate in us moral values. So..of course, its natural that "You scratch my back, I scratch yours"... as the saying goes.
I woke up late at 5.58am and I had to be at the bus stop by 6.15am. Rush, rush!! I had a quick shower and did my Subuh prayers. I left and found myself at the bus stop exactly on time. Suddenly, my phone vibrated. It was Aziz. He told me to wait up for him. His bus came at around 6.30am. I could have had more time bathing...sigh.
When we arrived at Newton, Aziz and I bumped into Abdul Rahman. We walked to school together. But then, we decided to go to Shell first as there was going to be a secondary 2 party. At the assembly, Muhammad wanted all the sec 2 boys to rehearse as there was a change of plans. Some of the guys were frustrated. Unfortunately, our rehearsal was cut short when Harith told us we had to assemble as well. So after the assembly, we went behind the school again. We practised and practised. Sadly, after about half the performances were done, it started to rain. Although the performances were continued in the Musollah, we abandoned our act and played games and talked in class. Afterwards, all the sec 2's went downstairs to celebrate our form teachers speacial day. Thats where it ended...
Tomorrow, Im going to Aziz's house cause there's an AOE tournament...Just among friends, of course. Until next time...hehe

The National Day Observance

Sounds of laughter and joy were heard even in the morning. Awaiting the upcoming events were hard to bear. Right at the peak of morning, before much of the sun had risen, I had already started taking some pictures. The ceremony began with the As-Ma'ul Husnah and Singapore pledge, led by Harith of sec 4. Followed was a brief speech by Mr Razak Lazim about the Singapore spirit. It was pretty brief. Then, Harith commanded the stand and teachers of every staff helped to organise the primary students for the march. The secondary students turned and moments later, we saw a very cute march. All the secondary students were shouting and screaming, cheering and making lots of noises. I nearly lost my voice shouting.
When the telematch games had started, we (Water House) were very happy and ecstatic of every outcome. By the sixth game, I was sweating so I went elsewhere. Haziq and I went to the third storey and took some seats so we could have a clear view. We were having a good time when some sec. 5 brothers told us to go downstairs. Sigh...
Moments later, a break was given to all the students. There was sad news, though. The secondary student's telematch games were postponed, until what day, I dont know... It ended with the prize giving ceremony. I was very ecstatic as I recalled that Water House got 2nd or 3rd in the boys inter-hous badminton games. But, unfortunately, the staff didnt count badminton as it was not finished in time.
WHAT????
It is so injust that they didnt count the badminton games. I was so frustrated but I tried to keep cool. But still, it was so disappointing that my efforts were wasted. 2 years in the running and still I got nothing from playing on the Water House badminton team. Sigh...
In the end, Aziz and I went to the Cairnhill CC and played some basketball with some other guys. I got to score some hoops and it really made me feel better. Then we went to An-Nadhah and did our Friday prayers before going back to Junction 8. We looked around in Popular and went home with a large order of French fries in our hands.

But it doesnt end here...the next week, the badminton games were continued. Although I didnt get to play this time, at least I knew that the badminton games was gonna have an outcome. Water seemed really good. I was happy to see this.
The next day, all the houses were called to be in the Musollah. Mr Muneer had sumed up the Secondary Games telematch, which were also held during the week before, and the badminton games. Water house got second in badminton!! I was speechless. I had gotten my first sports medal...hehe. I think Water house got 3rd in the telematch games. Fire house got first...heck, it turned out to be a great week...And here is where my story ends

Leaving July
Sorry for starting with such a mundane title. I haven't the inspiration to write good titles, currently. Anyway, so much has happened in July. Let's start off at the beginning, where this story starts.
Saying good-bye to the month of June was pretty disheartening yet at the same time, relieving. I had longed to see my "so-called" friends again. I was, amazingly, eager for some work. Unfortunately, work was in front of me already. It so happens that the english journal had to be filled with a whole month's worth of entries. Sigh...Miss Amnah confronted me and we had what seemed like an interminable talk. Mdm Faizah Abdul Rahman overheard the conversation. She went over and was appalled by my behaviour, which at the time seemed like something really innocent. After that, I never left my journal an entry empty. That first week seemed dreadful. I wish I had been back at home...why did I even think of work at the time??
A few days of school brought my senses back to somewhere between first and second gear. Most of my heavy books where stored behind in the class cupboard. See, I dont study much so I just leave it at the back. If I do need to study, I'd just bring that particular subject's book. I rely on my lessons. The thing is, I get sleepy most of the time. That's what Mother says about me. Im intelligent but Im lazy. Sigh...
Photography classes were the good parts of the week. But it had gotten me in trouble a few times due to ahh...time management problems. The latest photography class I went to was the outing to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. We had a splendid day there. We took tons of pictures. Monkeys, trees and everything within our sight. At the summit of Bukit Timah, all the people who came carved our names on a map board. Here is a photo from the outing.

My wrist seems to be getting particularly better. I'd say it'll be fully recovered somewhere in August. Then, on the 19th of July, there was a Peer Tutor Outing and we had a blast of a time. I brought my camera too, just so you know. There, most of the guys played soccer while the girls played netball, or so I think. Syakirin and Zulfaqar got chosen as the water balloon targets. A number of projectiles flew in the air. One of the happy moments of July.
Currently, the 8 Minutes Competition is what's on my mind. I guess you could say we're having a splendid time during our takes. Here, I will use a euphemism to describe my role. I am the "boom operator". In other words, Im the guy who holds the mike. Im also supposed to be the comical actor who brings laughter to the video. I dont expect to win Best Actor Award or anything. I love acting but just having fun being with the team is as good a reward as anything. Plus, its a good experience...the competition, that is.
Speaking of acting, Im currently very fascinated with olden warfare. I don't know why but they fascinate me. Intrigue me. Delight me. Hmm...Im just trying to occupy as much time as I can. Nowadays, I feel rather hollow. Happiness in life has drifted away from me, most of it. In the hope of finding eternal happiness, I am trying to be a good Muslim. Its not a statement Im trying to boast but I feel that maybe if I let it out, I'll feel better.
There......hope you like my latest entry. I believe its longer than any other entry I've written.
Wassalam...

My 14th Birthday
Well whatdya know? Im 14. Seems just like yesterday I learned to walk and read and write. Where has the time gone? Was I in bliss? I dont think so. As I was saying, my 14th birthday. It wasnt supposed to be grand and all. The day before my birthday, my Mother bought me an advanced gift. A pair of shoes. Later, when my Father returned from work, he got me a Hayrer branded bag, just like my old one. I was elated by both gifts. The next day, I didnt do much. I went to perform my Friday prayers. I met up with Aziz and when we finished praying, we met up with Haziq and Fadil at the entrance. Fadil was staying with his grandmother so he came to An-Nadhah, along with Haziq. What lifted my spirits was that they remembered my birthday. That touched me. We spent an hour at the arcade before making a decision to go to Aziz's house. It was great.
The next day, my cousins came to my house and started a party, owing to the need to celebrate my growth of age. I had a cake and all. It was amazing. Unfortunately, my Father worked late so he couldnt join in.
You could say I had a great birthday. I like to think that it was. Anyway, it doesnt take a year to have a party to celebrate your birthday. I like to think that everyday is a day to be grateful about. Allah s.w.t has given us another chance to live and make good use of the day. Thats what you should never forget. Appreciate life. You never know when it will be taken.
I realised this when I unfortunately broke me left wrist. When I was doing something..you know..dangerous. At that time, the sky was dark. My heart felt something bad was gonna happen but I ignored the feeling. I finally realised it when the bad thing happened. Sigh... I thank Allah s.w.t for relieving me to my senses.

Tests, Orals and Exams
Assalamualaikum wr. wb
Whoa...what a week. Its been a seriously hectic week. The tests gave me the nerves. I mean..I have to be lucky that there were no Uhkrawi tests. And I can say that my luck has really changed for the better because the Uhkrawi exams are going to be done after the academic exams. So I can breathe a bit easier.
Today, the english composition was fine.
Out of the subject, today I played a game of soccer. Its been a while since I last played so it felt like reuniting with a friend. To make things better, I scored a goal. It happened like this...
"There we were. The game had just started. It was 0-0. The kids were playing great. Then, I dunno who I got the ball from but when it came to me, it bounced up and I kicked it up...twice!!...before giving a kick and ending up at the back of the ... "net"? Hmm..there's no net. Oh well...I'll just call it "at the back of the net".
Anyway, tomorrow is my Aunt's birthday. In three days, its gonna be my Mother's. Great, innit?
Well...I guess thats it then.

Recent Happenings
Assalamualaikum wr. wb.
Finally, I can relax.
The malay act has finally finished and I am glad that it has. We had a great time acting. Asyraf and I managed the lights. It was a great experience.
Secondly, Muhammad taught me some neat parkour tricks today. We had a great time...It was fun. For a while, it seemed that everything else had gone away. No homework. No school. No badminton training...it was fun while it lasted. Then, we went home.
Tomorrow, the photography class is taking place at the Changi Airport. Unfortunately, Aziz quitted the class because his camera got lost.
And, here ends my latest entry. Hehe...keeps getting shorter and shorter, huh? I'll try to write more.

March 2008
Well hello again. Im a bit caught up up with school that I couldnt write. Anyway, much has happened since the last time I posted my last entry.
Firstly, I succeded in entering for the inter-madrasah badminton. So, I'll be up against other junior badminton players from other madrasahs. Then there's also my studies. I did fairly well for all, except my arabic. Sigh..and in a few days, its gonna be test 2. Quick, innit?? And, afterwards, the Mid-year exams are starting.
Not even the March holidays brightened the following events that followed. Such as my class's malay act. I could say its shaping up. I reckon we're ok...I dont mind it if we lose. Anyway, I guess I should be studying right now. Hehe..writing isnt like it used to be, eh? Well...thank you for reading my latest entry.

Week 3 of February
The malay act....
Remember me saying that we were going to act the fictional story, "Tanggang", right? Well...there was a change. Two of our best malay writers wrote a story, each. So naturally, we had to vote which one we wanted to do. So now, we're doing another one. I dunno what its about but I hope it'll be better than Tanggang.
Oh yes....today. What happened today??
Of course...the maths remedial. Today, one of my tutees, Saifuddin was absent so it was only me and Adil. Surprisingly, it was much more enjoyable than the last class. I enjoyed it so much. After the class ended, Helmi, Haziq and I went downstairs and performed our Asar prayer. Then, Haziq and I went to the field and played a game of soccer. Helmi went home first...sigh...but anyway, today, I managed to finish memorising surah An-Nuh with Ustaz Salehin. The people that had finished memorising them went downstairs and Ustaz let us play some games. Quranic games of course..
Firstly, we had a Quran reciting marathon. My team won...afterwards, we had a quranic quiz and my team won again!! And for the first time in school, I really felt like I belonged...
Oh...and how could I forget...A few days ago, Mr Izzad, Aziz, Muhammad and I did some kungfu jumping, evading, stuff. When Mr Izzad and Aziz left, Muhammad taught me how to jump over tables. It was quite fun!!
Well...there you have it!! A few days worth of entries!!
Until next time!!

The End of January
Wow...what a hectic month its been!!
Its...not been the best of months but January has given me a lot of things to think about. The subjects get harder and tougher, of course. Overall, its been a satisfactory month, mostly filled with homework. My class is having an acting competition with Sec 2 Iman...but we're acting for the malay language..so I didn't audition for the acting part. You know what we're acting about??
The malay fictional story, "Tanggang"!!!
Then whats the use of having writers if you dont create a story based on other stuff...!!!
Well, at least Im not gonna be part of the talking. See...Im part of the props. group. Hehe..Fadil suggested it to me.
Oh...and there're some movies that I wanna get my hands on..
-Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and
-Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Hopefully, they'll publish the CD's quickly. I like buying the CD's...then I can watch them over and over again.
So, I guess thats it then. Whats there to tell...Hmm, oh yes!! Im joining the Badminton team again. Hopefully, I'll have a better chance of winning...Insya Allah...Amin..
Thats it!!
Bye bye!!

Second Week of School
Well...another week in school passes by. And now, where do I start?
Ok, to put it straight, nothing much has happened from Monday till Wednesday. Not until today, that is. Today was like...the most thrilling day ever!! I have two stories about this day...
First, I'll tell you what happened in malay class. See, I like to play pranks on people sometimes. So...I did one where it involved liquid paper and ...well, paper. So, I was thinking who to give it to. But then, Cikgu Iskandar saw Fadil, Asyraf and I talking. With haste, I tried to hide the paper under my table but unfortunately, he saw my attempt to keep what I had from him.
"Give it to me..."he said.
Fadil and Asyraf tried to persuade Cikgu Iskandar not to take it. They too, knew what was on the paper. But, he pressed on. Finally, I gave him. And..well...you know what happens next. He bursts the liquid paper bubble and his hand was a mess. Hehe...funniest thing that happened today.
The second story happened after school.
Some of the secondary 2's decided to have a game of soccer after school. But, the girls were going to play their netball sport there. And...as it turns out, we boys weren't allowed to play beside the girls court. You know why....running women and stuff.
So, we moved to the Cairnhill CC. After around an hour plus of playing, as the ball went out of play, all the boys went running to hide. Instinctively, I followed suit. It so turns out that Ms Nadiyawati and Mdm Faizah Zaiton and some other female teachers were nearby, going home. We scooted around, squealing in fear. I wished I had brought my camera along so I could record the scene. Unfortunately, Rahman, who was kind enough to pick up his and Muzzamil's bag, was questioned by the teachers. We were cautious and scared at the same time. Finally, we separated and went to the MRT station. Each of us tried to be wary of any of the teachers. Luckily for me, I went home safely.
Fun day, dont you think?
Well, I think I better go now. Gotta prepare for Friday...sigh....
Bye then...

Secondary 2 Ihsan 2008
The new year has come. And what changes there has been.
Firstly is the new change of classmates. The only former male classmates in my class is Fadil and Asyraf. Its a bit dull without Muzzamil and Akid and the others. But at least I have new friends.
So, since it was the first week, we spent our first three days with our class matters and our subjects. And...like any other year, we chose our class committee and subject representatives. I was randomly chosen to be the Tauhid representative. I didn't like that idea so I talked to Mdm Alwiah, our form teacher, and convinced her to change my...umm...status? Yeah...you could call it that. So anyway, Im now the assistant secretary to the class.
Hmm... speaking of statuses, I've been a lot of other things in my previous years. There's...
-Treasurer
-Head of Discipline & Welfare
-English Ambassador
-Science Representative
and others too. But now, Im an assistant secretary. Oh...and I forgot to mention. I've decided to join the peer tutors. I dunno what its like but I'll try it out.
So you see? I think its gonna be a decent year. Although Mdm Faizah wont be teaching Science, I think that Mr Muneer will be an acceptable change. Which reminds me, this year, its gonna be the inter-madrasah year. I'll try to enter for badminton. Last year, the inter-house didn't turn out well. I hadn't mastered my breathing yet last year. Now, after receiving Cikgu Zul's tip, I think I just stand a small chance of being with the other athletes.
Well...wish me luck. In everything, I suppose. Studies and sports.
Until next week. I'll tell more!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
See, I always buy the book late. Its because I don't mind waiting for the price to drop. Anyway, my mother asked me to think about it. So of course I agreed. I was so thrilled that after I arrived home, I did my prayers, ate lunch and after that, I went up to my room and buried my face in the book. I stayed in my room for a long time. I would stop to do my prayers. That was the only break. And so, I went on and on and on and on until...I finished the last paragraph. Wow, I thought at that moment. It was 4 in the morning!!
I went downstairs and joined my mother briefly. I drank a cup of coffee before going back up to the room.
The End...how'd you like that? Im sure you can too...oh, and tomorrow's gonna be the first day of school. Wish me luck for this new year. Oh...and Have a Happy New Year!!!
