Sounds of laughter and joy were heard even in the morning. Awaiting the upcoming events were hard to bear. Right at the peak of morning, before much of the sun had risen, I had already started taking some pictures. The ceremony began with the As-Ma'ul Husnah and Singapore pledge, led by Harith of sec 4. Followed was a brief speech by Mr Razak Lazim about the Singapore spirit. It was pretty brief. Then, Harith commanded the stand and teachers of every staff helped to organise the primary students for the march. The secondary students turned and moments later, we saw a very cute march. All the secondary students were shouting and screaming, cheering and making lots of noises. I nearly lost my voice shouting.
When the telematch games had started, we (Water House) were very happy and ecstatic of every outcome. By the sixth game, I was sweating so I went elsewhere. Haziq and I went to the third storey and took some seats so we could have a clear view. We were having a good time when some sec. 5 brothers told us to go downstairs. Sigh...
Moments later, a break was given to all the students. There was sad news, though. The secondary student's telematch games were postponed, until what day, I dont know... It ended with the prize giving ceremony. I was very ecstatic as I recalled that Water House got 2nd or 3rd in the boys inter-hous badminton games. But, unfortunately, the staff didnt count badminton as it was not finished in time.
WHAT????
It is so injust that they didnt count the badminton games. I was so frustrated but I tried to keep cool. But still, it was so disappointing that my efforts were wasted. 2 years in the running and still I got nothing from playing on the Water House badminton team. Sigh...
In the end, Aziz and I went to the Cairnhill CC and played some basketball with some other guys. I got to score some hoops and it really made me feel better. Then we went to An-Nadhah and did our Friday prayers before going back to Junction 8. We looked around in Popular and went home with a large order of French fries in our hands.

But it doesnt end here...the next week, the badminton games were continued. Although I didnt get to play this time, at least I knew that the badminton games was gonna have an outcome. Water seemed really good. I was happy to see this.
The next day, all the houses were called to be in the Musollah. Mr Muneer had sumed up the Secondary Games telematch, which were also held during the week before, and the badminton games. Water house got second in badminton!! I was speechless. I had gotten my first sports medal...hehe. I think Water house got 3rd in the telematch games. Fire house got first...heck, it turned out to be a great week...And here is where my story ends
