29th Ramadhan 08'

Monday is a day when the week starts over again. Sleepy and lazy are words used to describe this day. Perhaps even dragging...But perhaps this is the surprise in life. Any moment in life is full of surprises. In the early hours of morning, Rifqi, Umar, Ziyan and I sweeped the class clean. Afterwards, Ziyan and Umar found a bottle of lotion and started squirting it. It hit Ali Imran and Aisyah Said and they chased Ziyan. I kinda found it amusing.
Throughout the day, there was like a sleepy trance...evened out by the noise of the construction of the new ACS school. Sheesh...talk about "disrupting" a class. Studied sound in science, formal writing in english class, nothing in arabic and nahu class...which was cool. Me and Fadil, along with Asyraf were playing with the plaster scene (Is that how its spelled?), using our hands as catapults and throwing them into the area of the girls. It was amazing. I got hit in the ear by Zahirah and Zuhailah and also just below the eye by Aisyah Said. The three of us fought back and it was not before long we decided for a ceasefire. Kinda makes up for doing nothing or sleeping.
After Zohor, I passed by Shazaa and her friend and she well...just said my name. "DOLLAH..." she said. Normally, when people call me by that name, I'd be a bit pissed off but when Shazaa says it, I feel so...so...relieved. And Shazaa, if you're reading this, don't overreact. Anyway, during geography, Ms Amnah used it to comment on our formal letters individually. I kinda did ok...only that my writing was small and I didn't elaborate part of the problem. During Qiraah, I did well reading. It was better than I...yes, expected.
So you see...life has its ups and downs. What you dread, you will probably like. What you anticipate eagerly for, can also sometimes be a nightmare...so live life, on the good side!!

26th Ramadhan 08'

Friday...was SO AWESOME!!!
Normal schooling hours seemed like a flutter. I got 5th highest in my english test 3 and 4 results. Just scratched an A1. We didnt get to go through our maths papers. I just hoped I did it justice. Anyway, the Mass Iftar roused a lot of commotion. Aziz, Haziq, Asyraf and I couldn't get to go to Luqman Nur's house. Got cancelled in the last minute. So me and Aziz stayed back at school and took a bundle of pictures. I had to go to Shell, accompanied by Muhammad and Aziz, to replenish my stock of batteries. When we got back to school, we took as much pictures as we could find. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted all my pictures. I pressed 'delete' twice and well...you understand...
Tried to take more pictures. I helped unpack the porridge and stuff. Then, Mr Izzad asked Aziz, Muhammad and I to cut the pamphelets...or so what I think they are. Did my Asar prayers alone and then tried to take more pictures. Helped to carry the tables. It was pretty heavy. Haziq and I, along with Aziz attempted to carry 3 tables at once. We found that it was back-breaking work...literally.
Then, helped dry the banner and hang it before taking the mike stand and sejadah for Ustd Azhari. Before that, we layed out the canvas's for praying later. Helped "hold the paper" to the projector screen and then took pictures with Mr Izzad's camera. Cause there were 2 cameras, I was lent the other one. Ruzaini was begging for the camera. Sigh...good things never stay, do they? Luqman Nur took the camera which was then later found in Ruzaini's hands. I broke my fast drinking Ice Lemon Tea (Just Lemon Tea)...and did our Maghrib prayers. I saw Shazaa in a cute blue dress and what I thought to be 3 Imams were actually Faiz, Iqbal and Bukhari...=) Aisyah Said looked like a travel agent and dare I mention it? Lotsa BLACK baju kurungs...=)
After performing the Isha' prayers, we did our Terawih, led by Al-Hafiz Ustaz Alaina Baderuddin. It was intense. What was to come was pretty touching. The Munajat session. Sadly, Aziz was being fetched by his father so he had to go. During the Munajat, Ustd Idgham was crying for forgiveness. And so should we...I recalled all my deeds and reflected.
When it was time to go, Haziq wanted to go with Ruzaini and gang. Muhammad and the others also didnt want to go home at the time. So, I went home alone. It felt great...to have some alone time in the stillness of night. Arrived home at around 11.15pm. Cracked open an instant noodle and digged in. Then, I lied on my new bed and instantly fell asleep...

25th Ramadhan 08'

Wow...today was...pretty eventful, I guess.

In the morning, we found a beheaded dead rat in Secondary 2 Iman. Ziyan sweeped it into the dustpan and threw in the bin. Nur was like...telling it to everyone who would listen to her. It was a really overwhelming morning. I did ok in my maths and malay tests. Managed to be the 3rd to hafal with Ustd Salehin. I was so glad when Ustd said that the Quran oral was on surah al-muzammil and al-muddathir. Im pretty good on both those surah's. I was in a very lazy mood. Weird, huh? I seem to get lazy as the exams get closer. Dont worry, I'll buck up...cause fortune favors the bold. And I can consider myself bold...*wink wink
Anyway, Ramadhan is almost at an end. It seems quick, doesnt it? Must be because of Judgement Day. It is said that the one of the signs of Judgement Day is that time speeds up. Im seeing things more clearly now. Must be a sign...... But why me? Im feeling pretty intimidated... I feel like Im gonna die any moment. Like every second I have a chance and yet I every I make is against my pure instinct. Impulsive, wouldnt you say?
Anyway, tomorrow is the Iftar. I've finally decided to go, owing to the encouragement by Aziz. Me and him are gonna go to Luqman Nur's house and play his XBOX360 before changing and going back to school. Im trying to take as many pictures as I can. Cause its the last year we have Iftar at Irsyad-Newton. So, wish me luck...=)

23rd Ramadhan 08'

Tuesday. A day that certainly wasn't up to expectations. Personally, it was pretty dull. Though there were some moments that spurred some enthusiasm.
During maths, we reviewed on mensuration and statistics. Afterwards, during malay class, I spent the lesson making a stapler bullet bracelet. It was pretty bad. I got scratched a few times though. Then, I spent the recess studying for my arabic test. Science class was ok. Until the construction of the school outside was making a lot of noise. It was deafening. Then came Fiqh class and there was Luqman Hakim, sleeping in class. It was so annoying. It was always Fiqh class. Fortunately, Ustzh Rabiah saw him and told him to wake and well...the rest was absolutely insteresting. Though, no elaboration on that part. Nahu and Hadith passed by without noticing.
After lunch period, it was the arabic test. It was ok. And afterwards, there was the english test. It was quite easy. Though, I dont think I did excellently on the summary. Normally, I do good with summaries but I felt that my spark wasn't there. Perhaps 70% was in my spirit. Then, when it was time to go home, I was accompanied by Haziq, Luqman Nur and Fierdaos. At the Newton MRT station, we saw a lot of people. Abdur Rahman, Aisyah Said, Aishah-Tul, Ruzaini, Shazaa and many more.
We took the train to Marina cause we decided to bounce. So...conclusion, I lead a normal life...=)

20th Ramadhan 08'

Last night was awesome...and also an experince for me. Living in a two-storey house alone in the middle of the night can be unnerving.
Anyway, today, I was all alone. Woke up, after sahur and subuh, at 11am. Wow...kinda tells you I was really tired. I spent my day continuing my campaign on Rome: Total War. I managed to take and capture 2 Wonders. The Mauesoleum of Halicarnassus and the Golden Statue of Zeus. Im currently trying to conquer Greece before the Brutii manage to take control of any of Greece's provinces. Im the Julii...=) My strategy is to take the surrounding provinces of the Brutii. It'll stop their advance and expansion. The Scipii certainly dont pose too much of a threat. The Pontus and Britannians seriously need some time out. They've been attacking my border's villages...sigh.
Managed to watch the whole week's re-telecast of Friends. After that, there were no interesting programmes. Its been like that for the past few days. So when I wasn't playing RTW, I surfed the net and while reading through Shazaa's blogs, I found a sentence...

"THANKS TO DOLLAH FOR BARING IN WITH ME"

Makes me glad that Im touching people's lives...and sorry to Aziz for the rubik's mayhem...=)
Wassalam...

19th Ramadhan 08'

Boy...today was the best day of the week.
During the morning, instead of the Al-Quran, Ustd Azhari gave us a talk on the recent absentees and "escapes". It was kinda serious, if you didnt count Ustd Azhari's jokes...hehe. Anyway, English class was ok...a lot of people were sleepy. Probably cause of the Ramadhan season... Tired and aching bodies, as the people say. During recess, many secondary students were volunteering for giving out the flyers. I wasnt one bit interested so me and Abdul Rahman went to the dewan and read the Quran.
Fiqh was fine... since it was just one lesson, I was able to concentrate. Then, this is where the best part of the day happened. After listening to Mdm Alwiah talking about statistics, the flyers volunteers raised their hands to pardon their dismissal. Unfortunately, Mdm Alwiah didnt know of this matter and asked Ustd Ruzi. And even Ustd Ruzi was uninformed of this event. Finally, Mdm Alwiah had to contact Ustd Mustaqim and he confirmed the names of the volunteers.
When they had left, practically half of the class was left, doing their worksheet. I helped Faiz and he helped me. And also Fadil joined in to sneek in a couple of answers. Then, I asked Hafizuddeen and he was busy talking to Aisyah Said. Fine...I can do it by myself. No one ever asks me...
So I went back to my seat and the guys and some girls tried to make me feel better... There and then, I felt that we were really one big family. I was the first to hand in my paper... surprisingly, Mdm Alwiah helped me with some of the questions since no one could help me. They were busy with themselves. I ended up helping Aisyah Said, Hafizuddeen and Taufiq, along with Faiz and Fadil again.
After school, I just went home alone. Said goodbye to Hafiz, Taufiq, Aisyah and Rifqi. Well...just to know that I've got friends thinking of me...=)
Haziq still owes me the Rubik's manual... Im now at home, alone. Its 9.47pm. My parents are out in Geylang. I think they'll be back at around 12. So...until then, Im just minding my time...

18th Ramadhan 08'

Well, the excitement is buzzing everywhere... what is? Hari Raya, of course!!
At school, many of my classmates were sending raya songs to each other. Some talked about the raya suits. Others just wanted the fasting to end...but why?
This is the month where blessings are multiplied hundredfolds. Sigh...I for one am going to be missing this month. Allah s.w.t has given us a month to reflect and think of Him. Sigh...
Anyway, its not going good for me. I lost my cool today when Fadil threw at me rubbish. Another moment was when Zulfaqar disturbed my Dhuha prayers...=(
In school, Im trying to avoid dozing off in class. And I did...during maths class.
Out of the topic, lately, I've been seeing students playing with the Rubik's cube. Yeah...I see my friends (secondary) playing with it but now, even the primary students were solving it. I usually saw it in sec 2 boy's hands but even the girls are trying to learn. The sec 3's too!! Good, I know its good that people are opening their minds (finally...) but sheesh, do they have to bring it around everywhere???
I thought of trying to learn from them, you know, but some of them (not Aziz or Haziq)...the nerve is just so tantalizing that I could just hit them. When they have knowledge, they tend to show off. I do too but some just keep attracting crowds that when Im walking with a friend, the next minute I find myself walking alone...
So you see, even in this holy month, you just see something to be mad or sick about...

16th Ramadhan 08'

So...the fasting goes on. Where do I start?
I started the day having an early bath. It felt great that I was ready and free to do other stuff. I turned my PC on and checked my multiply.
At school, work was limited and this gave me more time to wander off. Today, I slept a lot. And this just wasnt me. During science, we studied sound and frequencies. It was interesting. During nahu, Ustd Azhari let us do anything. Thats where I took the opportunity to rest. When english language lesson came, I expected a tense attitude by Ms Amnah. Fortunately, she had gotten better. The day was brief. However, I forgot to bring back my Al-Quran...sigh...
When I arrived home, I bathed and afterwards, turned on my PC. Now, Im chatting with Shazaa. Its been a long time since I last had a talk with her...sigh
Well, today is brief so my entry is also short...
Until next time...

15th Ramadhan 08'

Half of this holy month has gone. I have yet fulfilled my duties as a servant of Allah s.w.t. Everyday seems full of surprises. Good and bad stuff can happen in a day. For example, today was a pretty ambiguous.
In the morning, the day started of fairly well. But during tilawah session, thats when good news gave me a ring. Ustd Salehin called out a number of people. They were going to be allocated to the Mahirun group. I was congragulating my tilawah buddy, Ziyan Emir when surprisingly, Ustd Salehin also mentioned my name!!! I was so ecstatic... The day went on...
Not much happened. But the day seemed very good. Unfortunately, thats when the cloud of despair gloomed. Just before geography class, some girls were playing with talcum powder, spraying it on each other. Soon, other girls joined it. Even the boys played with the talcum among themselves. One boy, whom I prefer not to reveal his name, took some talcum...a hand full. Another boy, also whom I prefer not to reveal his name, asked for the talcum and the first boy smacked it in his cheeks. Suddenly, Miss Amnah stepped inside the class and at the sight of all the talcum, she gave us a lengthy yet unforgettable lecture. It went on for the whole two periods of geography lesson. When she left the class, everyone was tense. Well, the rest of the day just seemed normal. So here, I end with... Assalamualaikum wr. wb.....
