Maulud @ Irsyad

One word.. AWESOME!!!
The 3-day sleep-over at school was the best thing ever! Friday to Sunday.. and lemme tell you, I enjoyed it.. :D

Day #1 (Friday) :

School on Friday whizzed past like a breeze. Im not saying it was easy-going but it seemed to go by very quickly considering the fact that we had no classes at all on that day. Starting from 9:30 in the morning, all of S4 Andalus gathered in class and practised for our 'Nasyeed & Poetry' performance on Sunday. The rehearsal wasnt so bad but repeating the lines over and over and over again made me a bit grouchy at some point. But overall, team effort was superb!

School ended and so lots of students scrambled home. Some of the students, including me, stayed back at school cause we brought our stuff with us. Whilst passing the time, Bukhari, Abdul Rahman Rahim, Farid, Ali, Mr Izzad, Danish and I went to McDonalds to have lunch together. There, we saw some girls from Madrasah Al-Arabiah but we didnt recognise any one of them. So.. back to school.

Most of the boys present got to work, cleaning the many pots being loaded in. We scraped the rust off the pots and also stains from laddles and pans. It was great fun and we got wet in the process. Our main task that day was mostly carrying stuff and cleaning them. There was one time when we had to transport the chairs stacked to a different spot. The indian workers were SO strong!!! One of them could carry about 15+ chairs on his shoulders like it was a bag of rice. I was stunned. I could only manage with 10 at the most, considering my weaknesses. But it was all fun throughout the moving process.

I left for home after Maghrib prayers and got my bag ready cause I was sleeping over at school. My parents insisted I have some dinner with them and so I did. 15 satay sticks was all it took to make me bloated. Washed up and bade them goodbye.

I reached school at about 9:30 at night. In total, only 8 guys slept at school, including me. All of them were S4 boys. I spent my evening on the phone, having a short chat with Shaakira and then later, helping Shazaa with her poetry. It was quite nice since the school was so serene and quiet, minus the other guys chasing each other and fooling around. Unfortunately, my battery died and so the conversations ended. I made a bed out of chairs and turned off half of the air-conditioners in Multi-Purpose Room 3 before going to sleep. Yeah, I was the first to sleep.

Day #2 (Saturday) :

Woke up and started work, beginning with the re-cleaning of some pots cause they accumulated some dust the night before. Later, I helped clean the containers for the Nasi Briyani itself. Later, I helped fry and pack the chopped onions. It was quite hot but nevertheless, I enjoyed it. About an hour after the whole onion business, my right eye started to get itchy and it stung. Somehow, I got sore eyes from the heat and the lingering air of onions.

So, I took some time off to recover while at the same time, help Mr Izzad take pictures while he was busy cutting vegetables. Soon after, I just hung out at the canteen till my eye got better. There, I took some photos with Zubaidah and talked with Azlynn while Amirah was around, taking pictures. Then, Luqman from S2 interviewed me for the Journalism Club which was like.. hahaha!

Big thanks to Shazaa for treating me to a stick of Rainbow Peak Ice-Cream. It really made my day! Right after that, I had to help fry the onions again.. but I was feeling much better after getting the ice-cream. Unfortunately, reality caught up and a few drops of boiling oil was all it took to wake me up.

Then, most of the boys were given instructions to stir pots at many different areas. I got a nice spot at the first row and began stirring. I kept on holding to the laddle and moved it here and there, stirring the contents repeatedly and in a pattern. 2 hours passed without any substitutes and my arms were still going strong. Somehow, the sores in my muscles were numb because of all the other things I was thinking about. Passed my duty to Ustd Ruzi and went to the mosque where I led the second ma'mum in their Maghrib prayers.

After that, I the void deck and elsewhere and then finally returned to the field for stirring duties.
Met Abdul Aziz and also some other friends like Faiz and Zaid. Oh, and Farid was so cute when he was eating his curry puffs while wearing his coat. Haha, I was like 'Awww!'

Later, I went back up to MPR3 and got to bed, waking up a few hours later. 3:37am, to be exact. It was so cold that I slept outside at the corridors. You know the metal bars that extend up the school, where the clock hangs? There's a place where people like to lean when they stand at the bars.. yeah, thats where I slept. I drifted into dreamland in a matter of minutes...

Day #3 (Sunday) :

Farid woke me up and quickly, I got dressed and went for my morning prayers at the mosque. After that, the remaining guys doing morning shifts helped carry more chairs and tables. When that was done, Mr Izzad and I took photos of people working.

Had two loaves of bread for breakfast and then just stayed at the void deck until further instructions were given. S4Andalus had some time to prepare for the performance behind the Theatrette with Cikgu Iskandar. We were quite good.
When we did sing in front of the crowd, we made some mistakes but it was fine. And who cars anyway?

I heard Shazaa and Afiqah read their poems. I was recording their moment when suddenly, my phone malfunctioned and the recorded data was lost. Hahaha! What a time to be making errors!
Syuhada and her friends sat right in front of the stage and cheered for the 2 of them. I joined in and smiled as they read their verses.

For the rest of the day, I walked around the school. Oh, and thanks to Muhammad for treating me to Chocolate Ice-Cream with wafer biscuits! I'll treat you and Shazaa the next time.

I helped clean up the easier stuff.. like chairs and tables. The Bangladeshi men were the veterans. They cooked, carried, cleaned and packed everything. I salute them. Eerr.. and man, someone pissed me off but I kept my cool. I just kept silent when that certain person.

Anyway, I hung out at the canteen and then took a shower and afterwards, performed my 'Asr prayers with Farid, Bukhari and Abdul Rahman Rahim. Then, we went to Junction 8, excluding Farid who had to go home. We searched the gift shops at the 4th storey to help Bukhari find something for a friend. I was shaking slightly since I hadnt had a real meal since the last two days. I left them after receiving a call from my mother.

So thats pretty much. Its a kind of a summary since I did do some other stuff but I wont bother with the intricate details. Hopefully, we'll have a Maulud next year at Irsyad. And then, I'll have my own camera to takes pictures with, Insya Allah.

Wassalam..

Problems

The day was.. quite depressing.
Retests were set and I used that precious free time to plan for Arabic Program. Things were going smoothly when word came that it was postponed to next week.
Just great..

For now, I just wish I had a quiet place to rest and think. I love those quiet moments alone when my troubles just spread out and bit by bit, they disappear. Not all my problems disappear that easily. And so far, my studies have been a consequence of my change.
Seriously, I want to come to terms with my problems but seeing as how fragile I supposedly am, Im afraid of being denied. I seek the answer that which I want to hear but reality bites back.

Sigh.. its just sad.

Wassalam..

Moments

You're the best part of my day..
Yeah, but that depends, doesnt it?
What do we do that makes it so memorable? I want to smile and laugh when I think of those times. I wish.. I wish you love being with me as I do with you. I only see you and no one else. And it burns me with enthusiasm when you call me up. It really does.
I wish.. I wish.. I wish..
For once, I wish everything I wanted came true.
I've reached out and given my arm.. its time for you to accept it.

Not A Good Day

As what Luqman Nur and Hijannah said.. I looked pissed. Yes I was.. In fact, the whole day was a struggle, trying to contain my inner feelings to myself. Tsk, everyday's a constant battle. I feel so lifeless. Hold my hand and pull me out of my darkness..

Today, the class was like so uuurrrgghhh! I couldnt stand some parts of the day when they were at the peak of driving me crazy. Of course, I didnt express it to the others. However, I took some trips to the restroom to wash my face and cool down.

The only time I smiled was during free period when the class asked each person their crushes. I kinda dodged the bullet cause in general, few people know that person. I was all smiles when people like Abdul Rahman Aziz were "interrogated".

During Maths, the class was at its rebellious point. I kept shush-ing them all but to no avail. When I did finish my worksheet, Mr Izzad had left the class. Some of the class members were quite surprised with Mr Izzad's leave. Apparently, or rather obviously, the class was being VERY uncooperative. I was quite ashamed at that moment and just sighed.

After school, I rehearsed the play for our Arabic Program with any of the remaining students still at school. Improvisions had to be made since it was a last ditch attempt to gather and at the least, have a group of students ready. Sigh.. it'll do.
Copied a sya'ir from Ustd Salehin's book of sya'irs (Syukran, Ustd!) and then went home alone.

Grr.. this isnt my lucky day. I just choked on some soap whilst bathing and I can still taste a slight soapyness at the back of my throat. Sigh.. this is certainly one of those days. And yes, I am still very much pissed off...

Adrenaline

The full moon greeted me in the morning on my way to school. Hehe, it was beautiful and I just couldnt help wishing someone else could have been there with.. *raises eyebrows*

Haha, anyway... whoa! Deep down, I was very depressed today due to some circumstances. Due to the situation. Sigh.. the situation never goes in my favour. But hey, I gotta move on.
Shazaa was the next sweetest sight in the morning. Hehe, yeah.. somehow, I couldnt stop smiling after confronting her.. :D

I was SO bored today.. the lessons passed. I received the information being issued by the teachers but without a smile, I would say. Yeah, I was pretty glum. Im still scared for my Physics results which I fear, I will take the retest. My "seatmates" sang with me during Nahu class. Of course, we were done with our work. Hehe, we're the singing group.
Physics class was a bit better than expected. We didnt get our papers back but instead, we got into a new chapter which was 'Waves'. It was quite ok.

I laughed the MOST during Lughah class which was after lunch. My group talked about the movie 'White Chicks' and all its funny moments. I was finally letting out some stress which was locked up in the inner chamber of my heart. Hehe, Im still chuckling after remembering that moment.

My class got the Arabic Program update and now, delegations have been made so that Im not the only one carrying the load. I just hope it all goes well. We also practised for our Maulid performance with Cikgu Iskandar.

After school, Tengku Hafidz, Irshad, Zakaria Sulaiman and I sat at the canteen and had a short conversation. Then, the match between the teachers plus S4A students plus Safiulhaq vs. S4B..
Tengku and I watched the match from above and talked quite a lot while Irshad tutored a certain someone.

We went downstairs to play some soccer ourselves at the street soccer court but then Hafidz had to go home so it was only me and Irshad. Later, Zubair, Hidayat and Zulzawaid joined us. I became keeper. It was quite scary but I loved the feeling of adrenaline pumping through my veins. One moment, Hidayat shot the ball and it hit me straight at the crown of my forehead. Hahaha! I fell back in shock but was astounded by the sudden disappearance of pain.
Later, Irshad and I performed our Maghrib prayers and went home.

Oh, and Shazaa.. unless what? *big grin*

And also, Teachers and S4A beat S4B.. 7-1

Thats all from me..
Wassalam..

P.I.C.

Reminiscing with Shazaa is so fun! We should do it more often!

Moongazers, stargazers, planegazers.. give me a lightsaber.. :D

Give me a field and a meadow and a nice breeze and I can put it to good use.. :D

A Normal Day

The class was being very moody today. I was quite bugged by this fact and at some point, felt so lifeless. I just kept thinking of my greatest joy so far and that.. that kept me going through the day.

It turned out to be a completely normal day, minus the dramatic moments. Today, I got back my Fiqh and Chemistry paper. Alhamdulillah, I do not have to sit for a retest. With that, I have free time to plan for this week's Arabic Program. Haha, yeah.. we had 2 weeks to prepare but miscommunication and constant conflicts severed the ties and so I have to pick up the pieces. Its quite stressful nowadays and I just wish that the joy I mentioned earlier could come true everyday.. Then everyday would be so bright!

During Chemistry class, I was very quiet. Yeah, my moody moment came. Meanwhile, Helmi and Syaira were joking beside me. The rest of my group members could only watch and listen as those 2 babbled on. Dont worry, we were assigned into mix groups so this is quite normal now.

I stayed back afterwards at school to plan for the Arabic Program, at least, with more detail. I saw Shazaa and kept smiling at her, only to receive a dumbfounded look. Haha, well, thats Shazaa for you.

Irshad, Abdul Rahman Rahim, Bukhari and I sat at the canteen. We were joined later by the Additional Maths students, at which we all packed up and left. Farid and I took the bus to Bishan Interchange. We shared a bus with Mr Rahamat, Ustzh Rabia and also Hanisah and Khadijah. Later, we met Ali Imran and Syakirin at the MRT station who were buying some food for breaking fast. It was quite fun meeting a lot of people in public.

I felt really sorry for Shaakira who really went through a rough day today. Hopefully, the "opposite reaction" to her day will come and bring delight and glee upon her.

I guess this is all from me, dudes..
Meet me at the canteen after school on any day if y'all just wanna hang out.. and study, of course. Hehe, nothing quite like the feeling of staying back at school.

Wassalam..
